| If you are familiar
with Durban Centre and The Bluff and are in Durban itself, make your
way to the Victoria Embankment, which is between the Harbour and
City Centre on the Eastern Side. Continue with Victoria Embankment
heading in a southerly direction and keep in the left lane, which
will lead you on to the Southern Freeway. Continue below next
paragraph.
An alternate route is by going through Durban proceeding along
"Smith Street" which, is a One Way out of town, to a
signboard indicating the on ramp of the "Southern
Freeway". Continue below
Being on the "Southern Freeway" continue to the first
off-ramp which, is approximately 4 to 5Km from Durban. You will see
a signboard indicating the off ramp to The Bluff and Edwin Swales VC
Drive, which you must take. At the Traffic light at the bottom of
this off ramp you will merge with Edwin Swales VC Drive. This will
take you to The Bluff through the next 4 Traffic Light intersections
and once past the 4th Traffic Light Intersection keep in the left
lane while heading to a Junction at the end of Edwin Swales VC
Drive. Proceed left through this Junction, which has a yield sign
for traffic entering into Bluff Rd. Proceed up Bluff Rd through the
next Traffic Light Intersection. Here you will pass, "a Steers,
and a KFC outlet" on your left. Continue through a kink and up
the hill for approximately 1 Km to the top of this hill and pass
through the Traffic Light Intersection where you will pass a
"High Water Tower, a Spar and a Video outlet" on your
right. Continue down the hill and keep in the right hand lane where
you must veer right at the Circle. You will now have entered into
Lighthouse Rd. Continue further down the hill and pass through a
Traffic Light Intersection where the road curves to the left just
past the traffic lights. Proceed along Lighthouse Rd for
approximately 300m to the next Junction where Lighthouse Rd makes a
90o right hand bend, where you have right of way and continue
straight for 100m to turn through another 90o left hand bend. At
this point you are still on "lighthouse Road". Travel up
this hill for about 300m to No 563 to "Lighthouse Inn"
which is on the left.
