The Lighthouse Inn B & B and Self Cater offers the following:

Situated high up on the Bluff headland and overlooking the Harbour and City in the background with spectacular day and night time views. Our 3 local beaches are within a 2 to 5 min. drive and Ansteys beach has Blue Flag International Status. All major shopping centre’s are within 2 to 5 min. with a Woolworths, Pick & Pay, Checkers, and Super Spar to name a few. Durban Int. Airport is a 10 min drive and Durban beaches are a 15 min drive. On a busy bus route with a stop just across the road, one can either head for our local beaches or take a trip to the Durban city centre and anywhere in between. A quality taxi service is available close by and is a few minutes walk to a rank for beach and city excursions. The local shops (butcher, café, bottle stores, fruit and vegetables, take-outs, coffee shop and a local pub are in the vicinity. So, come and enjoy our friendly hospitality and laze away the days in a peaceful and tranquil setting or enjoy the vacation atmosphere that Durban is renowned for. We cater for the individual as well as large groups either for Bed & Breakfast or the Self Cater option. Groups of 1 to 20 persons can be accommodated and self catering guests have the option of ordering a Health/English breakfast served in the dining room or on the view balcony at reasonable rates which makes this venue truly flexible. For the pleasure of all our guests we have a snooker table and darts facilities which are available in the Lodge B & B as well as the use of a large panoramic view balcony overlooking the harbour and city in the background and is spectacular day or night. The Lighthouse Inn facilities are cleaned and serviced daily and there is a Laundry service on request. Safe off road parking for 4 vehicles is available. For those who enjoy the outdoors there is a Swimming Pool and Braai / Barbecue facilities as well as a covered Pub and Grub area. We have 4 individual units (22 Beds) with 3 separate lockable units which can accommodate groups or individuals as follows: The Loft sleeps 2-4 (A compact unit which would suit a couple without or with no more than 2 children) The Lodge B & B sleeps 1-7 persons sharing. Directions from Durban: In Victoria Embankment or Smith Street a one way street, keep left and enter Southern Freeway (M4). On Southern Freeway (M4) take the 1st off-ramp to Bluff which leads into Edwin Swales VC Dr. Continue to the end of Edwin Swales Drive, keeping in the left lane to merge left into Bluff Rd and through the next 2 Traffic Lights Intersections passing a High Water Tower on the right you must stay in the right hand lane and then turn right at the Semi-Circle into Lighthouse Rd. Continue through Traffic Lights and then through 2 x 90 deg bends (Right and then Left) and head up the hill to No 563 Lighthouse Rd which is on the left.
